Create Happiness

Hello Friends!

I'm here today to share an art journal page that I created using leftovers from another project that I'm working on.

Again, I'm using washi tape, tissue wrap, paper scraps, joint tape, and masking tape for my base to create a focal point and some base texture.

I then used a combo of Lindy's sprays in blues and browns, focusing mainly on the area with the base texture. I used a stencil with coffee stains and a chestnut ink, some ghost stamping with black archival ink and a harlequin pattern, as well as random script stamping too. I also used both inks on the border of my page.

While adding crackle paste through a damask stencil to my other project, I figured I could to the same to this page, as I had no set direction, and let's face it, why not?

I was loving how the raw wood and natural lace was looking on the other project so I added a few leaves and some lace scraps to this page. I fussy cut a frame for my words and portrait from a BoBunny page that was in my stash to complete this page.

That's it for today, I hope you like what I've created!

Lisa :)

Happy Memories

Hi Friends! I'm posting another quick art journal page today. I started this page with scraps of Tim Holtz tissue wrap and masking tape which I adhered with Mod Podge. I arranged and adhered scraps of canvas gesso side down and then gessoed the entire page. Using a blending tool and Distress Oxides in Broken China and Antique Linen I added colour to the background. I then used Lindy's sprays and Inktense pencils to colour and outline the canvas pieces with several blue and brown shades. I randomly added script stamping with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide, pine needle stamping with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide, and stencilled Harlequin pattern with Shnibblybits stencil with Broken China Distress Oxide. After inking the edges of a few Shnibblybits vines with black ink, I adhered them down with all purpose glue. I then added some floral and butterfly die cuts from Tim Holtz to make a few clusters. Finally I added the bird, he's an Arboreal chickadee who frequent...
